Jesus has no problem walking through walls (Luke 24:36). God has been known to divide a wall to set His people free (Exodus 14:29). When the situation warrants it, He will push walls down into the ground (Joshua 6:20).
God still infiltrates, divides, and pulls down walls today—especially those we build up in our hearts over the years whether intentionally or unintentionally. Do you know and love someone whose heart is hard and cold toward the things of God? Is there an ostensibly impenetrable stronghold built with high and fortified walls surrounding that loved one’s heart? Don’t stop praying for them, and don’t be guilty of telling God how and when to do it.
After all, what’s a wall to God? A tiny pebble He kicks out of the way? A speck of dust He blows to the wind? Almighty God who created this universe and holds it in His hand is more than able to reach your loved one who is far from Him.
So continue to pray, trust, rejoice, and relax. These disciplines are so freeing to our anxious hearts (Phil. 4:6-7). Soon you will be able to say along with God, “What wall?”
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (Eph. 3:20-21 NKJV).
