A Sovereign Move of God: Saul to Paul

A Sovereign Move of God: Saul to Paul

It was a sovereign move of God that knocked Saul off his ever-lovin’ donkey, opened his blind eyes, and transformed him into Paul (Acts 9:1-31).

Saul was not expecting this.  He wasn’t praying to know the truth.  He thought he had it all figured out.  His goal and purpose in life was to eradicate this so-called church and everyone associated with it.  After all, he was highly educated, determined, driven, and had the backing of those in authority.  Saul’s conversion changed the course of history.

We need a sovereign move of God in America today.  We don’t deserve it for our sins are many.  However, God’s love and mercy are greater still.  It is my prayer that God will knock some of us off our proverbial donkeys, open our eyes to know Him and His truth, and make us change agents in our world.  Oh, how we need Him in our nation today!

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim. 2:1-4).
